Family
The characterization of Mimi and Nana show that families may bear fundamental similarities regardless of their social status. Nana is wealthy. Her home is like an art museum. Mimi is the head of a working class family. She lives in the hotel that she owns and manages in North Lake while Nana vacationed in the Lake North resort. The hotel only changes out of necessity while Nana is having her apartment renovated. In spite of these differences, the characters of Nana and Mimi are interchangeable in terms of the manner n which they treat their family members.
