Packing Material

Whittlesey breaks a jar during his expedition and is forced to replace his packing materials with natural materials within the area. This packing material turns out to be a plant infected with a virus that causes the plant to contain a high level of hormones normally found in the human hypothalamus gland. This plant is a source of both pain relief and nourishment for the Mbwun that haunts the Museum, causing it to kill in order to both relieve its pain in a new way and to obtain access to this material.
