Part 2, Superstition Exhibition: Chapters 21-26 Summary
In chapter twenty-one, Margo convinces the cop watching the exhibit's doors that she was allowed in the room because she was searching for George Moriarty, one of the curators. The cop lets her go, unwilling to do the paperwork associated with her intrusion. Margo finds George in his office and gives him the work she had done while telling him about her scare. Margo and George go to a local bar and discuss the situation. Smithback joins them and tells about what he has learned of the Whittlesey Expedition, which appears to be connected to everything somehow. It turns out everyone on the expedition died. Whittlesey and another scientist disappeared in the Amazon and all the others died in a plane crash on the way back to New York. Margo suggests they need to see...
