Part 1, Museum of Unnatural History: Chapters 16-20 Summary
In chapter sixteen, D'Agosta and Pendergast wait a long time for a meeting with the director of the museum, Dr. Wright. When he finally arrives with the head of security, Wright attempts to intimidate Pendergast. However, Pendergast manages to turn the tables and intimidate Wright. Pendergast informs Wright that he expects full cooperation from the museum's staff and that he will be interviewing everyone who works in the area where the two sets of murders took place. Pendergast also warns that he might insist that the Superstition Exhibit's opening party be canceled. Wright is deeply angered by this last suggestion, but goes along with Pendergast in fear of a release to the media suggesting the museum does not want to help in finding the murderer.
