Part 1, Museum of Unnatural Mystery: Chapters 10-15 Summary
In chapter ten, D'Agosta attends the autopsies of the boys murdered in the museum. During autopsy it is discovered that the hypothalamus has been removed from the brains of both boys and eaten. The doctors also remove what appears to be a claw from inside one of the boys' chest.
In chapter eleven, Margo goes home and receives a call from her mother. It reminds Margo she must make the decision whether or not to continue her education or to go home to run her recently deceased father's business.
In chapter twelve, a security guard is murdered in the museum after finishing a marijuana cigarette at a door opening onto a private courtyard.
In chapter thirteen, Smithback has another unpleasant conversation with Rickman over his manuscript.
