Robin Redbreast
The name of the book is a reference to the bird by the same name. Ninety percent of the robin redbreast population migrates south. Few take a risk to stay north during the fall and winter. Gudbrand Johansen, one of the Norwegian soldiers who fought on the Eastern front was known “redbreast.” He was a risk taker like his feathered friend, the robin redbreast.
