Summary

William, one of Laure’s coworkers has been visiting her at the hospital. He's spoken with the doctor, at first pretending to be Laure's brother. The doctor soon figures out William is lying. William doesn't mind, because he knows that Laure doesn't have any family left, he just wants someone to be there for her. William had been taking care of Laure’s cat while she was away, and had become worried when she hadn't returned. He later found her in the hospital.

To William’s surprise, a man named Laurent shows up during one of the feedings. Laurent has been calling Laure, trying to get in touch with her to return the bag. William mistakes Laurent as a recent boyfriend, a lie that Laurent goes along with. He’s able to keep the story going thanks to all he learned about...
