Summary
Callie talks to Oscar about her theory where the City children are concerned, and though he tries to argue with her, the evidence she presents is compelling. She tells Oscar to consider how many children could have been made with five wizard trees and how much money Caleb could have made by making them.
As Callie continues to posit and back up her theory, Oscar suddenly sees the truth of it and realizes that there is a hole in the Barrow magic. Five trees missing had created a hole in the Barrow earth, and because of that there was a hole in the protection they provided. Callie asks him if they can fix it somehow. He thinks they might be able to do something.
