Summary
Four shops are closed in the marketplace when Oscar goes out the next morning. He heads into the woods to collect what he can, planning to prepare what he picks in the afternoon. He catches himself thinking maybe Caleb will be back by then, but then he remembers and his master is still dead. Trying to clear his mind, he puts himself to his tasks, collecting mushrooms, flowers, plants and bark.
The missing wall makes keeping customers out difficult, so Oscar opts to work upstairs instead. A gentleman comes in looking for a necklace that will help his mate forgive a sin if he gave it to her, but Oscar has nothing of the sort.
