Summary
Oscar wakes hoping his secret is still safe, but when he opens the door he discovers a stack of books each title a jab at Oscar in one way or another. He puts them under his bed, and is sweeping when Wolf comes in and berates him for embarrassing him in front of Caleb. He tells Oscar how little he is worth compared to how important his status as an apprentice is and warns him that when he stops being useful, Caleb will get rid of him.
Master Caleb comes in and Wolf changes. Caleb announces he has business on the continent and will be gone for a couple of days. He asks Wolf to keep the shop open and Oscar to keep him in supplies, tasking them both with keeping things going until his return. Wolf assures him they...
