Summary

By Tuesday, Caroline hasn’t given Josh any thought at all and she is surprised when he actually shows up. Even the joy she feels at the sight of him confuses her. He asks her how the wedding plans are progressing, but Caroline hadn’t had any part in it. Finally he asks her if she thinks it’s time she kissed him. She gets to her feet, confused and he stands up calmly as well. Just once, she tells herself as she leans in and kisses him. Her fingers fumble as she opens the first button on his shirt. She can see the desire in his eyes, and it only emboldens her. He pulls her to him and they kiss again.
