Summary
George decides to do something nice for Claire and while she is at work he lets himself into her house and begins to clean. He starts with the dishes, because they were the thing that seemed to be most aggravating to her. After they were put away, and counters were wiped down, he sweeps the floor, vacuums and hangs up jackets and bags. When he’s satisfied, he tells Sophie that he’s still kicking. Meanwhile, Claire stops in at Grace’s although she hadn’t been there in several years. They talk about relationships, men and the coming market. Caroline asked Claire to have a cake stand.
