Chapters 46, 47 and 48 Summary

Gansey yells it is an earthquake as the ground starts to shake and rumble. Whelk's shot misses Adam. When Whelk drops the gun, Adam demands it back. they can hear something coming toward them the woods. Blue pulls Ronan and Gansey into the crater of the tree as a herd of white-horned beast trample by them.

They are in a vision in the tree. Gansey and Blue are in Gansey's car. Gansey says maybe it's not true if he kisses her instead of her kissing him. The real Gansey pushes past Blue and out of the tree. While Adam still stands in the center of the pentagram, Whelk lays on the ground trampled, broken and bloody.

Adam says he didn't kill Whelk but he didn't save him either. Adam says Whelk's death is justice for what Whelk did to Noah. As...
