Chapters 38 and 39 Summary

Gansey picks Adam up from the hospital. Gansey tells Adam he took care of the hospital bill. Gansey also thinks about how they told him Adam will never hear out of his ear again. Adam doesn't argue with Gansey about the money, as he usually does. Instead, he asks Gansey to take him to get his stuff.

As the two boys continue to talk, the discussion gets heated. Adam tries to walk away but Gansey goes after him. Gansey can see that Adam is trying not to cry. Adam tells Gansey that now he can have it his way—that Gansey can have all of the things he owns under one roof.

Blue arrives at Gansey's house. She calls out for Noah and Noah appears and speaks behind Blue. Noah tells her what happened with Adam, Mr. Parrish and Ronan...
