Chapters 20 and 21 Summary

Adam arrives outside the apartment building while Noah and Ronan are building a ramp. Adam asks when Gansey is supposed to be back and when he should call Blue. Adam thinks about the time when he decided to go to Aglionby. His mother's debit card had been declined while Adam was trying to make a purchase at the grocery store. He saw an Aglionby boy in the next lane easily swipe his card and leave the store with his purchases. The boy got into a shiny black car with two other boys wearing Aglionby sweaters.

Adam uses Ronan's cell phone to call Blue. He asks Blue if she wants to go exploring with him today. Gansey just bought a helicopter because it is easier to see the lines from above. Adam says he has no idea what is.
