Chapters 12 and 13 Summary

When Gansey goes to pick Adam up for school, he's not waiting in his usual spot at the end of the driveway near the mailboxes. Gansey calls Adam's house but nobody answers. Gansey calls home and Noah answers. Noah says he doesn't remember Adam saying he wasn't going to school today. Gansey calls Adam's house again and tries to convince himself that death isn't as close as he thinks it is.

At school, Ronan says Adam wasn't in his second period class. Another student says something to Ronan that makes Gansey believe Ronan is racing his BMW again. Then, Gansey realizes that Ronan has the baby raven inside his bag. When the boys get to Latin class, which is Mr. Whelk's class, they notice that he stops what he's doing to watch and possibly listen to what they are saying.
