Prologue and Chapter 1 Summary

Blue Sargent grows up in a house of clairvoyants. Her mother, other relatives and her mother's friends are all clairvoyants. Blue's whole life, she is told that she will kill her one true love by kissing him. By the time Blue is sixteen, she doesn't believe she will ever fall in love, so she doesn't believe she will ever have the opportunity to kill him. Blue changes her mind when her half-aunt Neeve, another clairvoyant that has her own TV show and website, shows up. As soon as Blue answers the door, Neeve tells Blue she will fall in love this year.
