Part II—Pages 73-77 Summary
In Part II, pages 73-77, when Trent arrives at the police station, he is greeted by the senator. They senator tells him that the case is very important to the town and that if Trent solves it that the senator will help Trent in whatever career path that he wishes to take. Trent walks into the interrogation room, which is set up just as Trent advised Braxton to do.

The interrogation room is small and cramped. This is so the suspect, Jason Dorrant, does not feel comfortable. The chair Trent will sit in is slightly higher than the one Jason will sit in to make Trent appear bigger and more in control of the situation that Jason.
