Summary

In Part III, “It Wasn’t Todd’s Idea,” a few months after “the fish incident,” Jack and his roommates staged another animal sacrifice (127). Jack, Todd, and Malik got into an argument about mice in their apartment. Goaded by the other boys, Jack violently smashed a mouse with a shoe.
