Dodgers Stadium

Dodgers Stadium is the setting for the opening scene of the novel. While Nik and Fisher are attending a game, Fisher unexpectedly proposes on the scoreboard. When Nik refuses, Fisher causes an angry scene in front of thousands of watching fans. Left by herself in the stands, Nik remembers the stadium throughout the novel as a place of severe humiliation.

Despite Nik's negative feelings regarding the proposal drama and her ex boyfriend, the stadium is also the place where Nik first meets Carlos.
