Summary
In Chapter 124, Duncan speaks to Saad ibn Saud, in whose country the virus was created. Saud also narrowly escaped an assassination attempt. Saud told Duncan he could not believe his intelligence missed what was happening. He believed the intention was to weaken America so that it was no longer a superpower so that the world could return to the time of regional dominance. Saud goes on to explain that it was a part of the royal family that paid the Sons of Jihad to create the virus and then also paid the assassin to kill Augie and Nina.
