Summary
In Chapter 6, Suliman allows his workers to party with alcohol and prostitutes for one day. He believes they have earned it. Suliman himself is pleased because he believes he is about to “reboot the world” (48).
In Chapter 7, later Friday morning, Duncan meets with Rhodes. When Rhodes is asked, he confirms that Duncan has always complied and disclosed information when it was necessary. For this reason, the president tells Rhodes that he does not understand why Rhodes cannot accept that there is a reason why he is not disclosing information now, not even to all eight of his closest advisors. Rhodes tells Duncan that he thinks Duncan had thought he could get away with protecting Suliman’s life and making a deal with him but the plan was destroyed when the American was killed.
