Chapters Eighteen and Nineteen Summary
They drive in a large square over several days stopping in a log cabin 197 miles from Paradise and just five minutes from the West Virginia border. They are only three hours from the Mogadorian's cave. John wakes knowing he has to read Henri's letter. There are five pages in which Henri expresses his sorrow that he is no longer there, and tells John about his family history. He tells John about the Lorien gift that was bestowed upon them - ten gifted children who would one day become the Loric elders. This is why the Mogs hunt them now.
