Chapter Twenty Summary

Peekay is now back at school for his second term. Sinjun's group of six attend regular tutorials that last for an hour; they discuss the work from previous discussions and the resulting points will lead to more reading assignments.

Morrie tells Peekay that he has asked Solly Goldman, the best boxing coach in South Africa, to coach him and that Solly has agreed. When Peekay asks why, Morrie tells him that they are going to pay him. Peekay knows that he does not have the money, even with the proceeds from the bank, and he refuses Morrie on the grounds that he vowed to himself when young that he would never depend on someone else.
