Summary
In Chapter 27, Lucy resists going to the rocks again and spends time with Dominic. She thinks about how the Greeks needed myth because the world was not enough, and how she wanted a man to commit, but that as soon as men commit, she finds it suffocating. In Chapter 28, Lucy spends the next few days developing a great routine, walking Dominic and working on her thesis, feeling a new sense of purpose. Meanwhile, Claire tells her how she has begun hurting herself. She decides to go to the rocks again and in a moment of intimacy, starts hugging Theo and crying. After they kiss, she goes back home. In Chapter 29, Jamie texts Lucy, saying he misses her and wants to get back together. Claire texts, saying she is going to try killing herself, and Lucy rushes to her apartment and comforts her.
