Ella Fitzwilliam

Ella Fitzwilliam, 47, is one of the three main protagonists of this novel. She is a former jewelry designer turned full time mother after her accidental pregnancy with Felix, later her husband. She is currently living in North Carolina due to her husband's employment, but would rather be living in the country, perhaps California. They have lived in North Carolina for all of Harry's life. Following the birth of her Tourette's affected son, she abandoned her desigining career to take on full responsibility for her child's well-being. Accussed of being a helicopter parent, she set up code words and phrases in order to Harry to discreetly leave his classrooms to blow off steam, and all of Harry's teachers from a young age are a part of "Team Harry". She is the keystone in the Fitzwilliam family, without her presence the family simply could not function.
