Summary
In Chapter 30, we learn that Louise always keeps leftovers, no matter how small. She hates waste. She is always wearing the same clothes: a shirt with a Peter Pan collar. At first, Myriam and Paul find this admirable, but they soon get fed up with it and start throwing out food at night when she is not there. One night, Myriam comes home and finds a chicken that she threw away on the table. Mila tells her that the nanny had her and Adam eat every piece of meat off the bird as a game and they got candy at the end.
In the interlude, “Hector Rouvier,” Hector and his mother, Anne, talk to a policewoman about their experience with Louise. Everything was wonderful and she was a great nanny. But, when the captain tells him what Louise is accused of doing, Hector...
