Summary

In Chapter 16, narrated by Hannah, Hannah was upset with Christopher for suggesting that they adopt Janie without talking to her first. Hannah was angry and ashamed of herself but admitted to Christopher that she wanted a baby. They were still trying to get pregnant, and Hannah admitted she was uncomfortable with the idea of having a baby at home with Janie when she was so unstable. Christopher argued that he thought Janie was the answer to their dreams of having a child. Hannah wanted to help Janie but at the same time was sad that she was being asked to give up her dream.
