Section 11: pages 83-92 Summary
Percy is amazed by the lavish décor inside the hotel, but the concierge informs the trio that their room is not quite ready, giving them lotus cards to entertain themselves in the meantime. When Annabeth protests, Percy reminds her what their "travel agent" said about using the lotus cards for food, clothes or whatever. The concierge promises to find them when the room is ready. Annabeth is uncertain about their stop, but Percy assures her that taking a break for one night cannot hurt since they are almost to Los Angeles. The trio indulge in dinner, shopping and general relaxation, but while they are playing arcade games, Percy questions the kid next to him about his game which involves rescuing his mom, and when the kid notes that it is Percy's game, Percy points out that these games...
