Section 3: pages 17-22 Summary
In the car, Percy notes that his best friend is a donkey from the waist down, but Grover rebuffs that he is a goat. He really is Percy's friend though, because most satyrs would trample him for such an insult. When Percy questions Grover about satyrs being from Greek mythology, Grover asks if Mrs. Dodds was a myth too. He admits that she existed, explaining that they used mist to make everyone forget her in hopes that Percy would think he imagined her; however, what is chasing them now is way worse than Mrs. Dodds. Just as Sally pleads that they will make it the last mile to camp, their car flips. Since Grover is injured, Sally tells Percy they will carry him, promising that they have just a little farther to go until Percy will be safe. Percy...
