Summary

Chapter 44 and 45 are both about Rahima. She learns that Badriya has been told who to vote for by Abdul Khaliq. She is irritated, but knows there is nothing that can be done about it. Badriya then gets irritated with Rahima for questioning her, and threatens to tell Abdul Khaliq of her questioning.

Rahima continues socializing with Sufia and Hamida, though the two women are not as friendly with Rahima now that Badriya has voted for certain people to get elected into the parliament. Hamida still invites Rahima and Badriya to the resource center. Badriya declines the offer, but Rahima goes to the resource center, where she is amazed and impressed with the possibilities of what she can learn. She is excited that it's like a school. Rahima does get uncomfortable when Sufia and Hamida begin asking questions about Badriya and Abdul Khaliq, so...
