Chapter 13: On His Way. Lyndon was able to get a place serving as Congressman Klerberg's secretary. He did everything that he could with this position. He continued to behave in a servile manner towards higher ups. The reason that he did this went beyond the role of employee - he worked his way into people's hearts by doing this. He continued to be strongly domineering towards those under him. His first year in this post was the 72nd Congress. The first main task was handling the mail.
