Summary

Harriet takes Pilar to a nearby hotel to use their pool in Chapter 5. After they are done swimming, they talk about Harriet's life as they sip hot chocolate. Harriet tries to learn what Pilar had meant the previous day about trouble being in her family, but Pilar says she is not ready to talk about that yet.

While Harriet and Pilar swim, Roland takes Kasim and Molly into the town to go to the arcade while he goes to the library to check his emails. On the way there, Roland thinks about how much he dislikes Kasim and his arrogance but he also thinks about his relationship with Molly as well. Molly and Kasim enjoy themselves at the arcade and Kasim wins a ceramic boot which he says he will give to Alice although he knows she will not like it...
