Summary
In Chapter 36, “Botille,” Dolssa is beginning to meet with people at the tavern, all day. People tell her their problems and she prays with them. Botille notes that Dolssa seems to have infinite patience with each person and that everyone waiting for a chance to talk to Dolssa seems to have that same patience during their wait. The people who want to talk to Dolssa causes an upswing in business at the Three Pigeons. In the evening, the tavern closes for the family to have their meal and Dolssa goes to her room before the evening crowd arrives. One evening, Hugo arrives and Botille recognizes him, having seen him shortly after she rescued Dolssa. Hugo asks for a room but Botille and Plazensa send him to Guilhem's estate, saying that would be more suitable for a man of his rank.
