Summary

In Chapter 11, parked in a car wash hiding from the state troopers, Wolgast decided to surrender. Doyle admitted that Wolgast was right about Richards. They decided to drive back to the town of Randall, eat breakfast, and then find the police station. It turned out there was a deputy eating at the restaurant . So, they turned themselves in to him. At the police station, Amy insisted on staying with Wolgast even when he was put in the jail cell.

When the sheriff arrived, he insisted that Amy come out of the cell. Amy was eating an ice cream sandwich that the office worker, a grandmotherly woman, got her.
