Faye Travers
Faye is a contemplative and standoffish woman from Stiles and Stokes, New Hampshire, who lives with her mother, Elsie, and works as an appraiser. Though Faye is often cold and reserved, she is ultimately driven by an instinct toward empathy; she cares deeply for the downtrodden in the world, as evidenced by her desire to help Davan with his car, her kind treatment of Kit Tatro, and the strength of her conviction that the drum ought to be returned to its rightful owners. This contradiction often creates conflicting instincts in Faye, whose fear of vulnerability clashes with her instinct toward care.
