Part Three, The Truth: Now, February 1998 and Then, October 1997 Summary
February 1998. Jordan and the prosecutor, Barrie Delaney, go to the judge's chambers for pretrial hearings. Both sides make motions to suppress some of the evidence. Barrie wants to keep Chris' essay on abortion out of court, while Jordan argues to throw out the interview Detective Marrone had with Chris in the hospital. The judge listens to them argue and says he will rule by the end of the week. The jury selection is set for May, coincidentally falling on Emily's birthday. Jordan gets the news at the end of the week; his motions were accepted, while most of Barrie's were denied.
Gus and Michael have been seeing each other regularly since Christmas. They spend their time talking about the past and all the good memories they share...
