Summary
In Chapter 1, Howie would not allow Terry to wear the bulletproof jacket the cops offered him and Terry agreed with his lawyer’s decision. Walking to the car Howie told Ralph that Arlene was dead as well as Frank. Howie said it made it all that more important for Ralph to get the right man. Ralph informed Howie he had just learned there was a DNA match for Terry on the semen found on Frank’s legs.
In Chapter 2, there was a group of people with signs waiting outside the jail and a large group waiting outside the courthouse when Terry was transported. Marcy commented that the people hated Terry even though he had never done anything but good for them.
In Chapter 3, there were twelve cops at the courthouse but they were having trouble controlling the crowd. Reporters jostled with people...
