Summary

In Chapter 1, on Howie’s orders, Alec delivered Sarah and Grace to their home, getting them safely past the news crews, and then headed for the Cap City Sheraton.

In Chapter 2, Samuels learned that Roundhill had already called the police department twice.

In Chapter 3, at home, Ralph admitted to Jeannie, his wife, that after learning about Terry’s alibi, he should probably have brought Terry in for questioning before the arrest. When Ralph talked to Roundhill, he was furious but he confirmed Terry’s story. Quade also confirmed what Terry had told them.

Jeannie referred to the short story ‘William Wilson’ written by Edgar Allen Poe in which the main character had a double. Jeannie suggested perhaps it was Terry’s double that was at the conference.
