Summary

In Chapter 1, two black boys head for home when they see an unmarked police car headed for Estelle Barga Recreational Park.

In Chapter 2, on the day of Frank Peterson’s murder (July 10), Jonathan Ritz gives a statement during his interview with Detective Ralph Anderson. According to the statement, Ritz was walking his dog in Figgis Park when he saw a white van in the parking lot. The dog was pulling him, following the scent of the dead boy. The boy’s throat was gone and there was a branch sticking out of his rectum.
