Gabriel Allon
Gabriel Allon is the protagonist of the novel and the head of Israeli Intelligence. A long-standing hero in a series of spy novels by Daniel Silva, Gabriel is competent, intelligent, and artistically inclined. He also has a deep mistrust of anything Russian after a long, ongoing conflict with the KGB and then the SVR. Gabriel is one of Israel's most prominent public figures. He comes under international fire after Konstantin Kirov's death in Vienna. In an effort to clear himself and thus Israel of blame, he embarks on a quest to uncover the deep-cover mole within Western Intelligence.
