Summary
The children return to the King residence and they must explain to Mr. and Mrs. King exactly where they were and what they were doing in London so late at night. Sade convinces her father to watch the broadcast but the newscaster says nothing about her father or their story. Sade continues attending school but is unable to concentrate on her assignments and her friendship with Marian has stalled. The children continue watching the news every night, hoping to see their story broadcast.
Days later, after dinner, Sade sees a photograph of her father on the television screen and the newscaster begins talked about her father being detained after attempting to enter England illegally.
