Summary
Sade sleeps poorly and wakes up with a slight fever. Mrs. King insists on keeping Sade home from school. Mrs. Appiah also calls the house and tells the children that she wishes to speak with both of them so Femi is also allowed to stay home. Sade begins to worry that she is in trouble for stealing the lighter from the corner shop. Instead, Mrs. Appiah asks the children if they know of a man named Folarin Solaja. They become excited and hopeful that she has news about their father. They learn that their father has been detained in England for attempting to enter the country with a false passport, but that they will be able to speak to him on the phone.
