Chapter 11 Summary
As Stacy eats breakfast on Saturday morning, a woman arrives at her door, asking to talk to her. Learning the visitor is Eloise Tucker, Jarrod's mother, Stacy insists on talking outside. Eloise suggests that Stacy is mistaken about Jarrod being Mom's killer, even insisting that her sister will testify that Jarrod was visiting in San Antonio that day. Wanting to cry in rage, Stacy insists she will testify against Jarrod. Mrs. Tucker leaves when Jeff arrives, but Jeff responds vaguely when Stacy asks if he knows Jarrod's mother. Stacy tells Jeff that Mrs. Tucker was trying to dissuade her from testifying, and he admits that people can lie in court but suggests she call Detective Markowitz with her questions. Jeff follows Stacy into the house when the phone rings, and the call is from Detective Markowitz who tells Stacy that they have arrested...
