Chapter 10 Summary

Enraged, Stacy staggers toward Jarrod, but Jeff knocks into her as he leaps off the porch, causing them both to fall as Jarrod runs to his car and drives away. People rush from the house, asking questions, and unable to stand it, Stacy collapses in the grass. While Jan gets coffee for Stacy, Jeff helps her sit upright and tells everyone to go inside because he is taking Stacy home. As Jeff leads Stacey to his car, she notes that he seems familiar but also that it seems he is not exactly what he is supposed to be. Claiming many people are not what they seem, Jeff asks Stacy about how well she knew Jarrod, but when she asks him the same question, he evasively claims he has seen Jarrod around. Mrs. Cooper hears the car and pops her head outside to check...
