Chapter 3 Summary
Brandi Mayer, a reporter from the "Houston Evening News" enters and asks for an interview. Stacy does not mind, but Donna checks with the supervisor's office who says it is alright. Dad is not in his office, so Brandi proceeds, asking what it is like to return to the real world after four years and comparing Stacy to Sleeping Beauty. When she asks what Stacy remembers, Stacy mentions seeing the guy raise his gun, but she cannot see his face. She knows his name, though, and maybe that is why he shot her. Excited that Stacy saw her mother's murderer, Brandi encourages her to think harder, but Donna objects it is not as important as Stacy is right now. Insisting this is not good for Stacy, Donna makes Brandi leaves and retrieves Alice who agrees Brandi should not have been allowed to see...
