Summary

Jeremy joins Fierro at the support group and, later, goes over by himself to Nora’s cabin. Jeremy and Nora begin to make love when they see a silhouette in the window. Jeremy sneaks up on the figure and, as he pounces and attacks, he sees it is Fierro. Jeremy begins repeatedly punching Fierro anyway. After calming down, the two men go back to Fierro’s house, where they share a pizza. Jeremy reflects that this is one of the last times he ever saw Fierro.

Nora returns to Oakland, with her stay in the Mojave Desert totaling nine weeks. She had quickly broken up with Jeremy after seeing his bottled aggression come to the surface in the incident with Fierro.
