Summary
America is in her bed in Chapter 23, but even though her door is closed she can hear the conversation Maxon is having with his father. Maxon convinces her father to let her stay home for four days. They talk about whether or not she will return and Maxon lies and tells his father that she has agreed to make the ads. Maxon wants to go with her, but his father refuses his request. He gets mad at his father for treating him like a commodity. Maxon goes in to see America and Aspen is there as well. Aspen is to go with her as the leader of a team of guards.
