Summary

It is the night before Walker's first game and Lucy calls Shea to chat and they talk about the coach's game day superstitions such as buying Big Red gum only from the Parkit Market and catching a cricket after drinking a strawberry milkshake. The following night Shea arrives at the football stadium early because she loves the sacred feel of the place prior to a big game. Shea's thoughts are consumed with hopes of Walker achieving a championship season. Walker wins the game and Shea mentally notes that there are only 11 games to go in the season including the national championship game.

Walker wins the next game too and Shea runs into Smiley in the locker room afterwards where he gives her an envelope containing a formal job offer with the Dallas Post.
