Summary

When Ruby settled into life at the mall, Stella helped her adjust to her new life in captivity. Ruby now credits Stella with saving her from sadness, with cuddling her, loving her, listening to her riddles, and answering her questions. Before she died, Stella also asked Ivan to help Ruby find a better life—and he did. At night, Ruby and Stella would stay up late talking about their lives in Africa. Stella would always say how she wanted to be with a herd of elephants again. Ivan tells Ruby that she was all the herd Stella ever needed, but Ruby does not believe him.

Ruby finishes her story and realizes that both her uncles are crying. She apologizes for making them sad, but they say that it is good to not keep things locked inside. Ivan apologizes for not wanting to talk...
